This is the sixth book in the Carstairs series.
Carstairs of Arabia follows Martin King into the heart of the Dark Kingdom: Saudi Arabia. It’s where he expects to find those responsible for the London Underground attack that threatened his family and took his friend’s life. He’s looking for intel. But more than that: he’s out for blood…
At the request of MI6 he accepts the position offered by Prince Asim, a Saudi prince who spends most of his time gaming and partying. King once again assumes the role of Reginald Carstairs, the imperturbable gentleman’s gentleman. But while his new employer finds him very dull, Martin tries to make sense of this new environment, where trusted allies are few and far between.
Follow Martin on his dangerous mission as he receives special training for an assassination that should see him move closer to his target, battles corrupt officials and the heinous religious police and plots to avenge the friend who saved his family. A story like no other.
How long is this book? VERY LONG. Over 310,000 words, in fact.

Clifhanger you gave me blue balls from months ago
I love the direction you’re taking with the characters. If any really reads into the small bits and details within the stories then you have a reluctant guide to maybe the future dory or stories to come. Imagine when Martin and his sister finally have a child together…
I loved it. Excited to see where the next stop is and have an idea of what’s next…. but not excited about the wait for it. All in all an excellent tie in from the previous stories. Maybe next one has Martin/Carstairs finally getting in with the Prince and his crew for saving his life of Omar.
If the next book in the series was available in the next couple of months, that ending would be forgivable…are your ears still burning? A year or longer? Unforgivable. 🙁
I’ve read the whole, long, book and I must say I liked it very much!
I have quite mixed feelings about the big finale. I understand the motivation but I can’t say I’m very happy with what he did…
I have some theories about K-T and her varied level of intelligence. Will be interesting to see if I’m right 🤔.
Big thanks for many hours of entertainment!
Not happy with the ending.
That’s what Mrs. Lincoln said, too 🙂
I strongly concur with that opinion! I’m also not very happy with your future road map, but I hope the success of this book will perhaps speed up the process a bit 😃.
